Archbishop invites all major faiths to join in 24-hour period of prayer

As the Lenten period begin there is a call for the major faiths in this country to join in a special 24-hour period of prayer.

The call comes from Archbishop Joseph Harris.

Beginning at 5 pm on March 3rd, the first Friday of Lent, the Cathedral and the Community of the Sanctuary of the Holy Family will host a 24-hour period of prayer for the healing of the nation at the cathedral.

It will end at 6 pm on Saturday, March 4.

The archbishop has issued a special invitation to all churches, mosques, temples and people of goodwill to join in the observance of the day.

He will preside at Ash Wednesday mass at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception this afternoon.
