Barrackpore man found with guns, ammo & ski masks

A 31-year-old man has been arrested and two firearms and a magazine containing a quantity of ammunition have been seized, during an exercise in the Siparia district.

The suspect of St. Croix Extension, Barrackpore, was taken into custody after a search warrant executed at his home on Tuesday, resulted in the seizure of the illegal items.

During the search, officers attached to the Siparia Criminal Investigations Department (CID) discovered one black and silver Pachmayr revolver loaded with three rounds of .38mm ammunition along with a Ruger pistol containing a magazine loaded with 10 rounds of 9mm ammunition and two ski masks.

The suspect was arrested and taken to the Siparia Police Station, pending further enquiries.

PC Jimdar, of the Siparia CID, is continuing investigations.
