The body of a 59-year-old man was found at the bottom of a precipice in Sans Souci on Thursday.
The man was later identified as Trevor Lucas of George Street, Sans Souci.
According to a police report, shortly after 3 pm, officers of the Eastern Division—acting upon information received—went to the Sans Souci area where they found Lucas’ body about 100 feet from the roadway, down a precipice.
Lucas was clad in a pair of blue three-quarter jeans and a blue jersey.
Police said his body was found partially submerged head-first in a stream, and bore multiple cuts and bruises.
An autopsy has been ordered to confirm the cause of death.
It is expected to take place on Friday at the Forensic Science Centre in St James.
