Cuba's Vice Foreign Minister on working visit to T&T

Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, Rogelio Sierra Díaz, will arrive in Trinidad and Tobago today on a working visit, the Cuban Embassy has said.

The Cuban diplomat will be accompanied by the Director of Central America, Mexico and the Caribbean Division of the Cuban Foreign Ministry, Jorge Luis Mayo Fernández.

The Deputy Minister will develop a programme that includes meeting with Trinidadian counterpart Jennifer Daniel, with Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs of the Caribbean country, Dennis Moses and Minister of Trade and Industry, Paula Gopee-Scoon.

During his visit, Sierra Díaz has scheduled a meeting with the Secretary-General of the Association of Caribbean States (ACS), Dr. June Soomer, that will allow him to reiterate the commitment of Cuba with the good development of the organization, review the status of the commitments and responsibilities of the largest of the Antilles within the ACS; as well as knowing first-hand the state of the revitalization process carried out by the organization with the support of its members.
