Kenneth Supersad singing his controversial ‘De Raj Story’, will be the first artiste on stage at the Grand Final of the 2018 Chutney Soca Monarch, a statement by the organisers said.
Omadath Maharaj who is defending his 2017 title will perform at #9 and Massive Gosein with his controversial ‘Mudda Count’ song will be last on stage.
TTEC Gayatones led by Rishi Gayadeen will back up all contestants.
The Khalnayak Dance Academy led by Brian Mangaroo, Ravi B, Nisha B and the big band Karma together with popular Soca Diva, Nailah Blackman will bring a powerful opening show and set the night for what is expected to be one of the best in CSM history.
Approximately 165 police officers, and 45 fire officers have been assigned to Skinner Park on Saturday night.
They will be supported by an additional 60 private security together with a special k9 unit.
Between the back stage area, artistes, their support staff, stage hands, technical assistants, security personnel and general event staff, more than 1000 persons would have been employed through the 2018 Chutney Soca Monarch.
The event will be carried ‘live’ on National TV and across platforms that will take it to an International audience expected to be in the tens of thousands via Facebook, Youtube and a mobile app provided by TTEN.
The 2018 Chutney Soca Monarch takes place on Saturday 27th January at Skinner Park in San Fernando. It starts at 8pm.
