Glock found in East Port-of-Spain police exercise

Police officers recovered one black Glock 17 pistol with a modified selector and magazine containing 17 rounds 9 mm ammunition hidden on top of a shed in Port-of-Spain on Wednesday night.

According to a police report, Insp Branch, Sgt Elbourne, Cpl Williams and WPC Williams conducted several strategic patrols between the area of Nelson and Duncan Street apartment buildings when at about 10.15 pm they received pertinent information from two other officers who were on foot patrol in the said area that they were standing near the area of Building 45C Duncan Street and observed the silhouette of a man who proceeded to an area of a shed obliquely opposite the said building 45C and placed something under some sheets of galvanize near the top of the shed. 

One of the officers went and checked the roof of the shed where he found and seized the weapon. 

Police said the serial number was filed off.
