A statement by the Office of the Leader of the Opposition says that in accepting the invitation, Persad-Bissessar said, “It is an honour to have been asked to share my story with young women in Barbados, and I am happy to be part of this panel, along with so many distinguished women. It is my hope that events such as these will inspire more girls and women in the region to step forward, claim their space and take up the challenges that are facing us all in the Caribbean."
The AmCham BEC will be supporting the “We Inspire Women” Charity and have reached out to The Barbados Community College as a goodwill gesture.
