More bail problems for Marlene

Former Public Administration minister Marlene Mc Donald has encountered another obstacle in securing her two million dollar bail.

Sources told Guardian Media that the bail documents were sent to the women's prison in Arouca late yesterday evening.

This morning the prison indicated to her lawyer and bailiffs that McDonald needed to come to the prison to physically sign the bail bond before she is officially released.

Mc Donald has been warded at the St Clair Medical Centre since Monday after complaining of feeling unwell.

Sources say that Mc Donald is unwilling to go to the prison to sign the bail bond.

She was charged in absentia by Chief Magistrate Maria Busby Earle-Cadelle on Monday with misbehaviour in public office, money laundering and conspiracy to defraud the Trinidad and Tobago government.
