MovieTowne murder accused, alleged helpers appear in court

Three men have appeared in the Port-of-Spain Magistrates Court today, in relation to the murder of Jamilia de Revenaux at Movie Towne last week.

Matthew King is charged with murder but police have also charged Christopher O'Connor and Jamal Lewis with perverting the course of justice in relation to an allegation that they sought to aid the accused.

De Revenaux was found with her throat slit in the covered carpark of Movie Towne on Sunday 5th February.

30-year-old King is from Chinapoo Village, Morvant. O'Connor is from La Fillete Village, Blanchissuese and Lewis is from Arima Old Road, Arima.

DPP Roger Gaspard gave instructions to charge King with the murder after an audience with Ag Supt William Nurse, W/Ag Supt Suzette Martin, Sgt Joel Grant and Sgt Hezron Lynch on Wednesday this week.
