National Security Minister condemns murder of prison officer

Minister of National Security Edmund Dillon is tonight expressing sincere condolences to the relatives, friends and colleagues of  Prison Officer II Davindra Boodooram, 45, who was shot dead on Frederick Street Friday afternoon.

Boodooram had 25 years' service with the Trinidad and Tobago Prison Service. 

In a statement by the Ministry of National Security, Minister Dillon condemned the brazen act.

Minister Dillon noted the sacrifices being made on a daily basis by law enforcement personnel who are putting their lives on the line to maintain law and order in the country.

He reiterated his government's support of all law enforcement personnel.
