Police destroy marijuana trees valued at $900,000 in Sangre Grande

Police have destroyed marijuana trees with an estimated street value of $900,000.

It took place during an eradication exercise in Sangre Grande.

Officers of the Sangre Grande CID, Northern Division Task Force, Organised Crime and Intelligence Unit and the Air Support Unit, conducted the exercise between 8 am and 9:15 am on Friday 6th October, 2017.

Based on information officers ventured approximately 400 feet off Foster Road, Sangre Grande, where they discovered the marijuana field, with approximately 900 fully grown marijuana trees, which were subsequently destroyed.

No arrests were made in connection with the find.
