Police seize pistol, ammunition in San Fernando

A pistol and a quantity of ammunition have been seized by officers of the Inter-Agency Task Force, during an anti-crime exercise in the San Fernando area.

Officers conducted the exercise between 2 pm and 6:30 pm on Tuesday 3rd October, 2017, along Hermitage Road, Palmiste, San Fernando, where they had cause to search an abandoned lot of land.

The search resulted in one High Standard pistol, along with a magazine containing 20 rounds of .22mm ammunition, being discovered.

No arrests were made in connection with the find.
