A revolver and a quantity of ammunition were discovered by officers of the Penal Police Station during an anti-crime exercise, in the Cedros district, yesterday.
Police said in a statement that officers conducted the exercise around 2:30 pm on Monday 9th April, 2018, during which, based on information, they proceeded to an open area at Constance Estate, Icacos Village, where they found one Smith and Wesson revolver and five rounds of .38mm special ammunition, wrapped in a green jersey, hidden under some coconut branches.
No one was arrested in connection with the find.
The exercise was supervised by Sgt. Sheldon Ablacksingh, of the South Western Division Task Force and included officers of the Penal Police Station and Penal Criminal Investigations Department.
