Minister of Works and Transport Minister Rohan Sinanan is reminding travellers on the sea and air bridges that they must have confirmed seats on flights and ferries during peak travel periods. And he is also advising them to head to the port or airport earlier especially during such times.

Minister Sinanan was commenting on developments over the weekend, in which persons were stranded in Tobago after several standby flights on the airbridge were cancelled.

Others also had trouble accessing spaces on the seabridge to get off the island.

The Minister says "if you don't have a confirmed ticker, expect some inconvenience, while everything is being done to ensure you can travel between Trinidad and Tobago."

The Minister also says that both the Jean De la Valette and the Galleons Passage were operating on the seabridge this weekend.

On Monday Caribbean Airlines put measures in place to assist passengers who complained they were stranded at the airport in Tobago and were unable to access any form of transportation.
