Tabaquite man charged with attempting to kill his aunt

A 36-year-old Tababquite man has been charged with the attempted murder of his aunt according to a release by the TTPS. The following is the full statement:

A man is due to appear before a Chaguanas Magistrate today, charged with the attempted murder of his aunt, Ria Meera Bajan, on Saturday 5th August, 2017.

NARESH HENDRICKSON, aka ‘Narie’, 36, of Damian Trace, Tabaquite, is also charged with two counts of possession of firearm, two counts of possession of ammunition, two counts of possession of firearm and ammunition to endanger life and three counts of shooting with intent.

Ms. Bajan, 46, also of Damian Trace, Tabaquite, was shot at and injured, following an argument with a male relative at her home, on Saturday 5th August 2017. The suspect, still armed with a shotgun, then ran off into a forested area, where he was later found by officers of the Brasso Police Station.

When officers called upon the suspect to drop the weapon, he is alleged to have fired a shot in their direction, before making good his escape. The suspect was subsequently arrested by officers of the Central Division Operations Unit and Central Division CID, in the Rio Claro District. 

HENDRICKSON was charged by PC Haresh Bachus of the Brasso Police Station and ASP Richard Smith of the Central Division CID, on Tuesday 8th August 2017.
