TATT expresses condolences on passing of former CEO

The Telecom­mu­ni­ca­tions Au­thor­i­ty of Trinidad and To­ba­go (TATT) ex­press­es its sin­cer­est con­do­lences to the fam­i­ly of Dr John Prince, for­mer chief ex­ec­u­tive of­fi­cer (CEO) of the or­gan­i­sa­tion, on his pass­ing.

Prince was CEO of TATT on two oc­ca­sions span­ning the two-year pe­ri­ods from 2004 to 2006 and 2016 to 2019. Dr Prince has had a long and il­lus­tri­ous ca­reer in the Pub­lic Ser­vice and has served as Per­ma­nent Sec­re­tary to Min­istries such as the Of­fice of the Prime Min­is­ter, Min­istry of Fi­nance and the Econ­o­my and Min­istry of Works and Trans­port amongst oth­ers.


He was the first ex­ec­u­tive di­rec­tor of the or­gan­i­sa­tion and has, over the years, con­tributed solid­ly to the lo­cal and in­ter­na­tion­al telecom­mu­ni­ca­tions com­mu­ni­ty be­fore his re­turn to TATT in 2016.

In re­cent years, he was chair­man of the team work­ing to set up the Na­tion­al Sta­tis­ti­cal In­sti­tute of Trinidad and To­ba­go and the chair­man, Board of Di­rec­tors of the To­ba­go In­for­ma­tion Tech­nol­o­gy Lim­it­ed.

The chair­man, board, man­age­ment and staff of the Telecom­mu­ni­ca­tions Au­thor­i­ty of Trinidad and To­ba­go have ex­pressed sin­cer­est con­do­lences and wish his fam­i­ly God’s per­fect peace and bless­ings in this time of grief.
