TT athlete not charged with hit-and-run incident; placed on ID parade

A Trinidad and Tobago athlete is to be placed on an identification parade today, in connection with an alleged hit and run accident which resulted in the death of a woman in the Tobago Division on July 1st 2018.

A statement by the Police Service says that the athlete, accompanied by his attorney, surrendered to officers of the Barataria Police Station on Sunday 30th September, 2018.

He was informed of investigations into the alleged incident and subsequently taken into custody.

Officers of the Tobago Division took the suspect to Tobago around 10 am on Monday 1st October, 2018, where he is expected to be placed on the identification parade.

No charges up to this time have been laid against him.
