The Trinidad and Tobago Coast Guard has confirmed receiving reports of an attempted robbery at sea in the vicinity of the Waterloo area.
In an official statement issued by the Public Affairs Officer, the Coast Guard explains it was deployed to the Waterloo area immediately upon receiving the report at about 10:21 last night, to conduct maritime security patrols and searches.
According to the release, upon further investigations, there were no confirmed reports of any injuries, stolen equipment or missing persons at sea, as a result of said incident.
The T&T Coast Guard assures that it continues to maintain the country’s safety and security, through the conduct of maritime security patrols within its area of operations.
