WASA: Water problems in Central Trinidad due to unforeseen delay in repairs

The Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) is advising customers in parts of Central Trinidad, served by the Freeport Water Treatment Plant, who have been experiencing a disruption in their water supply, that this is due to an unforeseen delay in the completion of pipeline relocation works at the Freeport Todds Road Bridge B1/1, which commenced on Wednesday June 20, 2018.

WASA says the ongoing work at the site is now expected to be completed by 2:00 p.m. today – Thursday June 21, 2018.

The affected areas include:

§ Calcutta Nos. 1, 2 and 3 Cotton Hill
§ Chickland School Trace
§ Sapathay Pepper Village
§ Mayo La Vega
§ Central Park Mayo Road
§ Lower Couva Siewdass Road
§ Caratal #1 Preysal
