Workers at the Water and Sewage Authority (WASA) are currently up in arms over the delayed payment of December salaries.
This after an internal memo was sent around to staff on Wednesday (December 19) advising workers that "there has been a delay regarding the payment of salaries."
The company told workers that they were "working assiduously" to have the issue corrected.
Line minister for WASA, Public Utilities Minister Robert Le Hunte, said he was unaware of the issue but was going to look into it immediately.
"I'm sure it is temporary," he told Guardian Media.
He reassured the workers that they would be paid as soon as possible.
