Thursday, May 17, 2018 - 04:00

The Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) is advising customers in parts of South Trinidad served by the Navet Water Treatment Plant, that there will be an interruption in their pipe borne water supply on Thursday, between the hours of 9 am and 12 noon.

WASA says this has become necessary due to a planned power interruption by the Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission (T&TEC) that will affect the operation of the water treatment plant and associated booster stations in the Tabaquite area.

Areas to be affected include:

* Princes Town and environs New Grant

* Malgretoute Barrackpore

* Williamsville Borde Narve

* Buen Intento St. Mary’s

* Manahambre Piparo

* Rio Claro Marabella

* Tabaquite Gasparillo

* Diamond Village Golconda

* Vistabella Ste. Madeline

* Cocoyea Penal Rock Road

* Guaracara

WASA is asking customers to manage their water use efficiently, as it may take 4 to 8 hours for the supply to normalize to some affected areas, after the Plant returns to full operation.
