The Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) is advising customers in parts of South Trinidad served by the Navet Water Treatment Plant, that there will be an interruption in their pipe borne water supply on Tuesday December 4, 2018, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
WASA says this is due to a planned power interruption by the Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission (T&TEC) that will affect operations at the Navet Water Treatment Plant.
Areas to be affected include:
Bristol Village, Mafeking Village, Union Village, Agostini Village, Rio Claro, San Pedro, Poole, Tableland, New Grant, Brickfield, Brothers Road, Biche, Charuma, Tabaquite, St. Julien, Hindustan, Indian Walk, St. Marys’, Barrackpore, Princes Town, Williamsville, and Hard Bargain.
Customers are being advised that it may take 4 to 6 hours for the supply to normalize to some affected areas, after the plant returns to full operation.
