TTOC President: Sport allocation increase show of intent

Sport will receive a 118 million dollar increase in budgetary allocation when compared to last year's figures, that allocation is up from approximately 278 million to 396.

Among the areas accounting for the increase in allocation is the national rewards and incentives programme which has been doubled from 3 million to 6 following the launch of the government's updated sports policy.

These developments prompted minister of Finance Colm Imbert to make a chest-thumping proclamation as he read the 2019 budget today.
