Nine Venezuelan nationals have arrested for being in the country illegally.
A statement by the Police Service says the Venezuelans were held during an anti-crime exercise over the weekend.
While on mobile patrol along S.S. Erin Road, Santa Flora, officers observed three vehicles driving in convoy, namely a silver Nissan Wingroad, a white Mitsubishi Lancer and a gold Toyota Hilux.
The officers observed five men and four women appearing to be Venezuelan nationals, whom they suspected of being in the country illegally.
Rachael Sukhdeo, the wife of a late Chaguanas businessman Sheron Sukhdeo has been arrested by police and is to be charged with use of obscene language and resisting arrest.
According to a police report, police went to the home occupied by the late businessman's wife this afternoon with a bailiff to recover two vehicles that is the property of a commercial bank.
Police alleged that Sukhdeo had a confrontation with the police officers during which she allegedly used obscene language.
She was then arrested on that offense, as well as on the offense of resisting arrest.
Six persons including four teenaged sisters are arrested and a gun and quantity of ammunition seized by officers of the Northern Division Task Force, during an anti-crime exercise in the Maloney district, on Tuesday.
The exercise, spearheaded by ACP (Ag.) McDonald Jacob and supervised by Sgt. Ishmael Pitt, was conducted, between 8 pm on Tuesday and 1 am on Wednesday.
During the exercise, officers proceeded to an apartment in Maloney Gardens, where they executed a search, which resulted in one Smith and Wesson revolver loaded with four rounds of .38 ammunition being seized.

A joint police/army anti-crime exercise conducted in the San Fernando district yesterday, resulted in the arrest of two men and the seizure of one pistol, a laser light and a quantity of ammunition.
The exercise, coordinated by Snr. Supt (Ag.) Zamsheed Mohammed and including Insp. Don Gajadhar and Sgt. Vishal Parasram, and personnel from the Trinidad and Tobago Regiment, was conducted between 1 pm and 7 pm, on Monday 19th February, 2018, in the Embacadere area.
Police have arrested a Valencia man for possession of a firearm and quantity of ammunition, police said in a statement on Tuesday.
Police say officers were on patrol along the Valencia Old Road around 10.25 pm Monday when they observed a man acting suspiciously.
Upon seeing the police, the man turned around and walked into a nearby bar.
The man was held on the premises and searched, resulting in the discovery of a black and grey Jaguar revolver loaded with two round of .38 ammunition.
