“Blunders by the Elections and Boundaries Commission (EBC) are a cause for concern,” says Princes Town MP, Barry Padarath.
The MP spoke with Guardian Media on Monday when he went to cast his vote at the Couva Anglican School at the Southern Main Road.
Padarath was informed that the Station opened a few minutes after 6 am, much to the displeasure of the lines of voters who had been at the venue since 5 am, waiting to cast their ballots.
Padarath said he has been informed that there were issues in Mayaro and Princes Town.
Princes Town MP, Barry Padarath is criticising Education Minister Anthony Garcia for not building the Princes Town Presbyterian No. 1 Primary School.
Padarath insisted in a media statement issued Wednesday, that Garcia is practicing politics of spite and discrimination against the children and people of Princes Town.
He said he held several meetings with the PTA and officials of the Ministry of Education on the reconstruction of the school and thereafter the Ministry demolished the dilapidated structure last year.
Princes Town MP Barry Padarath is accusing Education Minister Anthony Garcia of jeopardising the education of students at the Princes Town East Secondary School.
In a release issued today, Padarath said several calls on the minister to intervene and address a number of electrical and structural issues at the school have all fallen on deaf ears.
Padarath said he was “disheartened but more so angry that despite his representation as well as the agitation by students and parents alike, no work has been done at the school."
