Burnt body found in Maracas/St Joseph forest

The burnt body of a man was found in the forest of the Maracas/St Joseph hills yesterday.

According to a police report, at about 1 pm, officers who were involved in a marijuana eradication exercise at Wharf Trace discovered the body.

Police believe that the man, who remains unidentified may have either been farmer or was brought to the area, killed and burnt.

The body was removed to the Forensic Science Centre.

Investigations are continuing.

Body found in Penal

Police are seeking the public's assistance in identifying the body of a man.

Details are sketchy, but CNC3 has been informed that around 6 am, a passerby stumbled across the body in some bushes at Rampersad Trace, Clarke Road, Penal.

The police were notified.

Preliminary reports suggest the man may have been struck by a motor vehicle.


Body found in Champs Fleurs

The body of a man has been discovered in Champs Fleurs.

Reports indicate that shortly after 10 am today, a passerby stumbled across the lifeless body of a man in an area behind the Carib factory in Champs Fleurs.

It is unclear whether the man's body bore marks of violence.

Body found in Gran Couva

Police are currently investigating the discovery of a body of a man discovered by T&TEC workers in Gran Couva.

The workers were clearing electricity lines around 11.10 this morning within the San Salvador estate, in Gran Couva when the discovery was made.
