A 19- year-old man has appeared in court charged with the murder of his brother.
Umbelto Hannibal appeared before Chief Magistrate Marcia Ayers-Caesar in the Port-of-Spain 8th Magistrates’ Court yesterday, charged with the murder of his brother Marcus Small.
25-year-old Small was stabbed multiple times about the body around 1:30 pm on Tuesday 10th January, 2017 at his Caledonia Road Extension, Morvant home.
He was transported by police to the Port-of-Spain General Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Four Tobagonians have appeared before the Scarborough Magistrates’ Court on 47 fraud charges relating to a foiled attempt to defraud the Tobago House of Assembly (THA) of $165,000, a statement from the Police Service says.

Police have detained a 57-year-old retired police corporal on allegations that he sexually assaulted a five-year-old female relative.
The officer surrendered to members of the Eastern Division on Monday.
He was being sought since the report was made to the police on Friday.
The former corporal has been charged with three counts of sexual penetration against the child.
The case will be heard in the Rio Claro Magistrates Court.
Police have charged a husband and wife from Diego Martin after carrying out a raid on their home and finding a firearm, ammunition, marijuana and camouflage outfits.
The couple has been identified as 34-year-old Luke Camacho and 30-year-old Jenna Marie Camacho.

Adarhar, 29, of African Ground, Enterprise, was remanded in custody and will reappear on December 12.
Balgobin’s nude body was found in a vacant lot near her Enterprise home on November 12. Her head had been bashed in and her throat slit.
