Tobago man killed in crash in Trinidad

Kadeem "Running Star" Chance had a goal of building his career as a Merchant seaman working on container ships or oil tankers. However, his chance of becoming one was cut short when he was killed in a vehicular accident in Chase Village on Thursday.

Chance, 23, from Calder Hall, Tobago was driving a Kia Forte when he crashed into a wall along the Old Southern Main Road. He died on impact, police said.

The incident occurred at about 1.30 am.

Central Division Police continue crackdown on illegal guns and drugs

Central Division Police Officers continued their crackdown on illegal guns and drugs with another anti-crime exercise on Thursday 16 January 2020.

During  the  exercise,  officers  proceeded  to  Bolai  Trace  East,  Chase Village, where they  conducted a search of a bushy area,  which resulted in the discovery of two  revolvers  and  three  rounds  of  ammunition.

Quantities of marijuana and cocaine also were found.

Shop owner killed in Chase Village

Bandits shot and killed the owner of a shop in Chase village.

Police are said to be processing the scene. Sources say 33-year-old ashram Ramnath was at his Chandanagore road home when at 3 am gunmen stormed his property.

It is believed Mr. Ramnath put up a fight and was shot in the chest.

He died on the spot. 

Speaking with CNC3, MP for the area Ramona Ramdial is calling on authorities to do more.

Chase Village man shot dead

A 28-year-old man has been shot and killed.

The incident occurred around 9:45 pm Monday.

Reon Francis of John Ellie Road, Chase Village was in the vicinity of Maestro Bar when a gunman alighted a motor vehicle and opened fire.

Francis was hit several times about the body.

Police are yet to establish a motive for the killing.

 

Chase Village man charged with possession of Glock 22 pistol

A 33-year-old Chase Village man, will appear before an Arima Magistrate today, charged with possession of a Glock 22 pistol along with two magazines containing a total of 26 rounds of .40mm ammunition.

Clevon Francis was arrested and later charged following anticrime exercises carried out by officers of the Northern Division Area Central Task Force, in the Charlieville area, on Friday 5th May, 2017.

The accused of Orange Field Road, Chase Village, was arrested along Pierre Road, Charlieville, around 11:30 pm.

Woman who escaped possible rapist warns of blue "taxi" in Central

A woman who escaped from a car that was taking her somewhere against her will in Chase Village on Wednesday, is sending a warning to other women to be careful about entering a dark blue Honda Civic along the Chaguanas to Couva route.

The woman, whose identity we have opted not to reveal, shared her experience with us, saying she did not know if the intention of the driver was to rape her, kidnap her or worse.

The woman said: "Yesterday morning on my way to work from Chase Village, Chaguanas to Couva, a man tried to either rape me, kidnap me or God knows what else.
