Barbadian opener Kraigg Brathwaite will captain the West Indies team in its two Test matches against Bangladesh. This was announced today as the Cricket West Indies selection panel named a 15-man squad for the short series.
The release read, "The WINDIES will also be without Test and ODI Captain, Jason Holder who has a partial thickness tear of the subscapularis tendon in his shoulder and will undergo physiotherapy and rehabilitation in Barbados."
India crushed the West Indies by nine wickets in the final One-day International to win the five-match series 3-1 here on Thursday.
Batting first after winning the toss, West Indies were 104 all out in 31.5 overs.
Chasing a paltry target of 105, India completed the task in 14.5 overs at the Greenfield Stadium.
West Indies: 103 all out in 31.5 overs (Holder 25; Ahmed 2/29, Jadeja 4/33, Bumrah 2/11).
