Twenty-one (21) local companies are part of a delegation participating in Expo Caribe 2019 in Santiago de Cuba over the period 19-20 June 2019.
The delegation is headed by the Minister of Trade and Industry Paula Gopee-Scoon.
The Trinidad and Tobago team also includes representation from the Tobago House of Assembly, Export Centres Company Limited under the Ministry of Community Development, Culture and the Arts, the energy sector, exporTT, the Trinidad and Tobago Manufacturers’ Association (TTMA) and the Ministry of Trade and Industry.
Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley has met with the Cuban Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, where they discussed ways of enhancing mutual cooperation between the two countries.
The meet took place at the Diplomatic Centre, St Ann’s on Wednesday.

Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley has been invited to visit Cuba, the Office of the Prime Minister (OPM) said Tuesday.
The OPM said in a statement President of Cuba Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez has extended an invitation to the prime minister for an official visit to Cuba at a mutually convenient date.

More than 100 people were killed when a Cubana de Aviacion Boeing 737-200 crashed on takeoff from Havana's Jose Marti International Airport.
Three passengers were in critical condition after surviving the crash, state-run media reported.
The plane, a Boeing 737-200 leased by state airline Cubana de Aviacion from a small Mexican carrier and operated by a Mexican crew, went down in a field within a couple of miles of Havana’s José Martí International Airport.
