As the country continues to observe International Men’s Day this week, President of the Single Fathers Association, Rhondall Feeles, is encouraging men to stop neglecting their physical health and mental wellness issues.
The SFATT president says men tend see themselves as invincible, hiding any signs of physical weakness, and keeping their mental troubles and issues locked deep inside, to their own detriment.
Police say that two teenagers who had been reported missing, have been found.
They are 15-year-old Akia Belmar of Arima who was reported missing by her mother, Tmar Thomas, on Thursday 11th May, 2017 and Jilliana Bahadoor, a 13-year-old of St. Margaret’s, who was
reported missing by her mother, Sharon Wendy Narine, on Wednesday 10th May, 2017.
Police are thanking the public for its assistance in ensuring the teenager’s safe return.
Hospital officials say the death toll in a fire at a youth shelter in Guatemala has risen to 28 after several more girls died overnight of severe burns.
Doctors had warned the severity of the burns suffered by many victims put their lives at risk.
Nineteen girls were found dead at the scene Wednesday, and spokesmen for two hospitals in Guatemala City said nine more died overnight.
Dozens more remain under treatment.
The fire started after a mass escape.
