The North West Regional Health Authority (NWRHA) is seeking the public’s assistance in locating the relatives or next of kin of these three men - Samuel Jeffers, Jerry Williams and Rudolph Wallace.
The NWRHA says it would like any known relatives or next of kin of the above persons to contact the Medical Social Work Department, General Hospital, Port of Spain at 285-8989 ext. 2561/2563.
The US Navy hospital ship 'Comfort' will visit Trinidad and Tobago soon during its upcoming medical support mission to Latin America to help tackle humanitarian crisis created by the influx of Venezuelan migrants, the US Southern Command said in a press release on Friday.
The ship will make port calls in 11 countries in total.
"Comfort medical teams will pull in to Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Grenada, Haiti, Jamaica, Panama, Saint Lucia, St. Kitts and Nevis, and Trinidad and Tobago for working port visits," the release said.
A nurse from Sangre Grande, suffering from a rare autoimmune disease has been granted permission to sue the Ministry of Social Development and Family Affairs and the Central Public Assistance Board over refusing to grant her a disability assistance grant.
Fire officers responded to a fire earlier today at the Port-of-Spain General Hospital.
According to reports, around 2.40pm smoke was seen emanating from the pantry of the Physiotherapy Clinic of the hospital and the fire service was contacted.
CEO of the North West Regional Health Authority (NWRHA), Wendy Ali who was at the scene told Guardian Media that those who were in the vicinity of the pantry was evacuated and no one sustained any injuries.
The South-West Regional Health Authority (SWRHA) is advising of a temporary disruption in the electrical supply on Sunday at the first tower of the San Fernando General Hospital’s main building during the hours of 7 am to 4 pm.
The SWRHA says this is part of the continued upgrade of the electrical infrastructure at the hospital.
The main areas that will be directly affected include Medical Extension 1 and 3, Burns Unit and the Labour Ward.
The opening date for the Couva Multi-Training Facility has been moved up from September 2019 as previously stated by Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley to July 2019.

The contract, which will see Shanghai Construction Group and China Railway handle aspects of the construction, was officially signed yesterday at the Diplomatic Centre.
