TTCEC extends condolences on Sat Maharaj’s passing

Condolences continue to pour forth from all sections of society, on the passing of the late Sat Maharaj, Maha Sabha Secretary-General.

President of the Trinidad and Tobago Council of Evangelical Churches, Reverend Desmond Austin, is the latest to add his best wishes.

In a release issued today, Reverend Austin extended condolences to the family of Mr. Maharaj, and the Hindu community at large. 

The TTCEC boss says the Council extends God’s peace to all those impacted by his loss.

Spiritual leader of Sanatan Dhar­ma Ma­ha Sab­ha passes

Dhar­ma­charya of the Sanatan Dhar­ma Ma­ha Sab­ha, Pun­dit Ut­tam Ma­haraj has passed away.

Pundit Maharaj, of Rousillac Village, was initiated as Dharmachaya - Hindu spiritual leader - by India’s Swami Divyananda Teerth at the Maha Sabha headquarters in St Augustine in 2005.

The 70-year-old spiritual head passed away this morning.

Secretary General of the Maha Sabha Sat Maharaj confirmed the passing to CNC3.

Maharaj described his spiritual leader as a pious and committed man. 

Maharaj said he and the rest of the Maha Saba are in shock over the news.
