Autopsy to be conducted today on 15 year old girl found dead

An autopsy is expected to be conducted on the body of a 15-year-old girl who was found dead at her home in Tarouba.

Reports suggest that at about 9 am on Tuesday, the girl's mother left her and her 6-year-old sister at home.

However, upon the mother’s return, she discovered the girl unresponsive.

Crime scene investigators and a district medical officer visited the scene.

Today’s autopsy will determine the cause of death.

Lara says his party not responsible for disturbing zoo animals

Brian Lara is saying his party was not responsible for disturbing the animals at the Emperor Valley Zoo.

Over the weekend the zoo posted a message on Facebook asking that the authorities contact Mr Lara and tell him that the loud noise emanating from his residence which is close to the zoo's compound was disturbing the animals.

A few minutes later the zoo updated the post saying the music was turned down and it thanked Agriculture Minister Clarance Rambharat for his intervention.

Minister Rambharat said Lara's brother had immediately apologised and turned it down.

San Juan teen missing

The TTPS is seeking the urgent assistance of the public in locating 14-year-old Makhi Ashford.

Makhi, of Bourg Mulatresse, San Juan, was last seen in a video arcade in the San Juan district, on August 10th.

He was reported missing to the San Juan Police Station, on August 12th by a relative.

Makhi is of African descent, 5 feet 6 inches tall and slim built with a brown complexion.

He was last seen wearing a pair of black and white track pants, a black and white jersey and a pair of slippers.

Accident on Churchill Roosevelt Highway causing gridlock traffic

There are reports of an accident on the Churchill Roosevelt highway causing serious gridlock traffic.

Details are still sketchy.

But CNC3 news understands that traffic is at a standstill on the eastbound lane of the Churchill Roosevelt Highway.

Reports are that there is a fallen light pole lying across the lanes of the highway, near the Courts megastore.

In addition, one truck and seven cars are believed to have been part of the accident itself.

First responders are said to be on the scene at this time.
