At least two people have died and 17 others were injured after several gunmen opened fire in the car park of a nightclub in Fort Myers, Florida.
Club Blu was said to have been hosting a teen night when the shooting take place, at roughly 12.30am.
Terrified youngsters were forced to "dodge cars and bullets" as they sprinted to safety, the mother of one girl who escaped uninjured said.
It comes two weeks after a lone gunman shot dead 49 people at a gay nightclub in Orlando, Florida.
Yet another attack on a young partygoer at a nightclub in Port-of-Spain has left 22-year-old Nicholas Grillet badly wounded and in excruciating pain. He was allegedly beaten by bouncers attached to the 51 Degrees Night Club located at Cipriani Boulevard, Port-of-Spain.
Speaking with the T&T Guardian yesterday, Grillet said at about 3 am he had an altercation with a patron which escalated into a scuffle outside the club. He said, however, everything was quickly resolved between the two when he (Grillet) made his way up inside the club to lodge a complaint to management.
Police believe an SRP office attached to the Guard and Emergency Branch, can assist them in solving a video of a fracas outside a nightclub on Ariapita Avenue on Saturday night.
A man and a woman are now in hospital nursing stab wounds and other injuries following the fracas.
Police have told CNC3 that the SRP can give them information pertaining to this matter.
The victims, one who is in a critical condition, have given statements to the police explaining how the entire situation developed and have also identified the alleged stabber.
