President Anthony Carmona has once again criticised the persons responsible for disposing of the Order of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago that made its way on Ebay.
He is also congratulating the ANSA McAL Group for purchasing the medal and having it returned to this country.

The Order of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago is coming home.
ANSA McAL Limited has been successful in purchasing the country's highest national award that had gone up for sale on Ebay.
The group got the 18K gold medal for the opening sale price of US$25,000 although a bidding war had pushed it up to $31,300 in the last 36 hours.
At one point, someone placed a bid for as much as US$60,000 but it was not accepted by the buyer.
The ANSA McAL Group of Companies has made a bid for the Order of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago that is being sold on Ebay, in a bid to ensure that it returns to this country.

"The ANSA McAL Group has placed a bid for the Order of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago Medal which was put on sale on the e-commerce website, eBay.
President Anthony Carmona is "distraught" over the attempt by someone to sell the country's highest award, the Order of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, on Ebay.
The President says in a statement, that the award is not a rag doll and tells the person who is doing it that they must not proceed.
