The body of a 59-year-old man was found at the bottom of a precipice in Sans Souci on Thursday.
The man was later identified as Trevor Lucas of George Street, Sans Souci.
According to a police report, shortly after 3 pm, officers of the Eastern Division—acting upon information received—went to the Sans Souci area where they found Lucas’ body about 100 feet from the roadway, down a precipice.
Lucas was clad in a pair of blue three-quarter jeans and a blue jersey.
The driver of a Toyota Corolla was lucky to escape with his life as the car he was driving ran off a precipice on the Lady Young Road Thursday afternoon.
Reports indicate that around 2 pm Thursday, the driver lost control and went off the road near the Hilton Hotel.
Police officers from both the Morvant and Belmont police stations responded and confirmed that one person was taken to the Port-of-Spain General Hospital for treatment.
Police are advising drivers to be cautious using the Lady Young Road today.
