Brathwaite calls out umpires after ‘dodgy’ decisions

NOT­TING­HAM —West In­dies all-rounder Car­los Brath­waite is frus­trat­ed over the “dodgy” um­pir­ing dur­ing his side's 15-run loss to Aus­tralia and is al­so ques­tion­ing why his team does not get as many lbw de­ci­sions as their op­po­nents.

West In­dies over­turned four calls by the two um­pires in Thurs­day’s match at Trent Bridge, in­clud­ing two in three balls against open­er Chris Gayle in the third over of the in­nings by Aussie pac­er Mitchell Starc.

T&T praised for "excellent" bid to host 2021 Commonwealth Youth Games

Trinidad and Tobago has been praised for the quality of its 2021 Commonwealth Youth Games bid,  as a contest opened after Belfast was stripped of the hosting rights nears its conclusion.

Gibraltar has also been praised for the quality of its bid as well.

President of the Commonwealth Games Federation (CGF) Dame Louise Martin has described the two candidacies as "excellent".

It wasn't a case of Pak­istan Zind­abad but a case of Pak­istan play­ing bad, as West In­dies of old came to Trent Bridge to whip Pak­istan by sev­en wick­ets in their first match of the 2019 ICC World Cup in Eng­land yes­ter­day.

The In­ter­na­tion­al Crick­et Coun­cil (ICC) had put a no­tice in the me­dia cen­tre that lunch would be served be­tween the hours of 2 pm to 4 pm ear­li­er in the day. Well, we didn't even get to that, as the game was fin­ished be­fore lunch.
