Mystery spinner Sunil Narine who has been playing domestic cricket for Queen’s Park will represent the West Indies against Pakistan in the upcoming four-match T20 series in the West Indies, starting later this month.
Pakistan will be four T20s, three ODIs and three Test matches in the Caribbean and the first of the T20s take place on March 26 at Kensington Oval in Barbados. The next three matches will be played at the Queen’s Park Oval in Port-of-Spain.
The Ministry of Sport & Youth Affairs has given $35,000 towards West Indies spinner, Sunil Narine's rehabilitation.
The money was handed over this afternoon.
At a presentation at the Minister's Abercromby office, Minister Darryl Smith said it was in the interest of the Government to see Narine back in international cricket.
Also at the presentation was Carl Crowe, Leicestershire CCC coach, who is assisting Narine in his rehabilitation.
