Barrackpore teen girl missing

Police are seeking the urgent assistance of the public in locating 16-year-old Salisha Hosein.

Hosein was last seen at her, Carrat Hill Road, Barrackpore home, around 12 noon last Friday.

She was reported missing by her mother to the Barrackpore Police Station around 9:30 am on Monday. 

Hosein is of East Indian descent, 5 feet 3 inches tall and slim built, with a light brown complexion.

She was last seen wearing a blue dress and a pair of black slippers.

Slain teen was a comeback story - neighbour

Teenag­er Ne­tanya Mo­ham­dal­ly, who spent sev­er­al years in a home be­cause of her un­con­trol­lable ways, had start­ed pro­gress­ing nice­ly, earned sev­er­al ed­u­ca­tion­al cer­tifi­cates and was just start­ing to get her life back on track when her life was snuffed out.

Missing teen found dead

The body of a 13-year-old boy who was reported missing has been discovered among some bushes in Cashew Gardens, Longdenville.

Police are currently on the scene.

There is as yet no reports on the cause of death.

Earlier today, police issued a statement asking for the public's help in locating Joash Pantin.

Pantin, of Cashew Gardens, Longdenville, was last seen at around 7:30 pm, December 1st.

He was reported missing to the Longdenville Police Post, on December 1st by his mother and grandmother. 

Teens feared drowned in flood waters return home

When flood wa­ters be­gan ris­ing at the Poodai La­goon in Pe­nal to­day, two teenage friends de­cid­ed to use an in­flat­able bed to float down the flood­ed street.

But when the bed got a hole and sank, res­i­dents of Sat­nar­ine Trace and Ram­s­ingh Trace mount­ed a man­hunt be­liev­ing that the teenagers had drowned.

14-year-old boy on gun and ammo charge

A 14-year-old boy, charged with possession of a firearm and ammunition, is due to appear before the Port-of-Spain Children’s Court today, to answer to the charges.

The teen, who resides in the Central Division, was arrested after officers attached to the Central Division Special Crime Unit, had cause to stop and search him during an anti-crime exercise, around 9:00pm on Thursday 23rd August, 2018.

The teen was searched while liming along Constructive Street, Enterprise, during the exercise, which included officers of the Longdenville Police Post and Canine Unit.

Teen held after shooting at police

A 16-year-old boy is currently under police guard, at the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex, after being arrested for shooting with intent at police officers during an anti-crime exercise in the Enterprise district.

The exercise, spearheaded by Snr. Supt. (Ag.) Inraj Balram, took place between 5:00 pm and 8:30 pm on Wednesday 15th August, 2018.

During the exercise officers proceeded to a house at Lendore Village, Enterprise, to execute a search warrant for arms and ammunition.

Search on for teenager abducted in Maraval

The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service is seeking the urgent assistance of the public in locating 18-year-old Darrell Michael Cuffie, who was abducted on Wednesday 25th April, 2018.

Cuffie, of Duke Street, Port of Spain, was last seen driving a BMW motor vehicle along Collins Road, Fairways, Maraval, around 9:30pm on Wednesday 25th April, 2018.

Shortly after, a dark coloured Honda CRV motor vehicle with male occupants forced Cuffie’s vehicle to a stop, then bundled him into their car before speeding away.

15-year-old Tobago boy charged with burglary

A 15-year-old boy has appeared before a Scarborough Magistrate, charged with burglarising the home of a 50-year-old woman, of Union Village, on Thursday 29th March, 2018.

The minor appeared before Magistrate Annette McKenzie on Tuesday 3rd April, 2018, where he pled not guilty to the offence and was released on his own bond.

The matter has been adjourned to Tuesday 24th April, 2018.

The victim secured her home at around10 pm on Wednesday 27th March, 2018, and retired to bed.

Teen charged as gun, ammunition are found in Pleasantville apartment

An 18-year-old man was arrested and a pistol and a quantity of ammunition seized during an anti-crime exercise by officers of the Mon Repos Police Station on Friday.

The exercise was carried out between 10 pm and 4 pm in the Pleasantville district and included officers of the Southern Division Task Force and Rapid Response Unit.

Acting on information received, the officers went to Apartment #2, Building D, Orchid Gardens, where they carried out a search, which resulted in one Beretta pistol along with 12 rounds of 9mm ammunition, being discovered.
