The Tobago Regional Health Authority (TRHA) has announced the appointment of Michelle Edwards-Benjamin as Acting Chief Executive Officer, with immediate effect.
Edwards-Benjamin has worked with the TRHA since 1995, moving through the ranks of Nursing to hold the substantive position of Secondary Care Nurse Manager.
She holds a B.Sc. Management Studies from the University of the West Indies (UWI) and a Master of Health Administration from the University of Trinidad and Tobago (UTT).
The Tobago Regional Health Authority (TRHA) is seeking the public's assistance in locating the family of Shaffie Mohammed.
A statement by the TRHA says: "Mr Mohammed has indicated that he is from Cunupia and also has a sister who resides at Bamboo Settlement. He is eager to reunite with his family."
The statement does not give any further information on Mohammed's status by the TRHA is asking anyone who has information to contact his relatives, to call the Scarborough General Hospital at 660-4744 extension 3264.

Contract workers at the Tobago Regional Health Authority (TRHA) will receive retroactive salary payments in the next two weeks.
The Tobago House of Assembly (THA) has approved the payment of arrears to eligible Tobago Regional Health Authority (TRHA) workers to the tune of $70 million.
THA Chief Secretary Orville London made the disclosure Wednesday afternoon during the weekly post Executive Council media briefing at the Administrative Complex in Calder Hall.
The matter was discussed when the Executive Council met and it approved the funding request.
London said the issue of approval was not only related to payment “but also to the quantum (being requested)”.
