In fact, apart from the usual Easter weekend (which, thankfully is a fixed long-weekend each year), there's only one other holiday that can create a long weekend in T&T.
And that too isn't certain yet, because it's the Divali holiday, and it must be first declared.
Barbadian opener Kraigg Brathwaite will captain the West Indies team in its two Test matches against Bangladesh. This was announced today as the Cricket West Indies selection panel named a 15-man squad for the short series.
The release read, "The WINDIES will also be without Test and ODI Captain, Jason Holder who has a partial thickness tear of the subscapularis tendon in his shoulder and will undergo physiotherapy and rehabilitation in Barbados."
The Met Office is advising of an active Tropical Wave east of Trinidad and Tobago that will pass over the islands in the next 24 hours.
The Met Office says the Wave has a 60% chance of heavy showers and thundershowers in some areas.
