The T&T Police Service is reporting the discovery of a quantity of arms and ammunition during a Strike Back Operation in the Diego Martin district on Thursday.
According to police reports, the arms and ammunition were found in a bushy area in the Patna Village.

Commissioner of Police Gary Griffith gave a commitment to increased collaboration between the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) and the Bankers Association of Trinidad and Tobago (BATT).
The top cop and officers of special investigative units within the TTPS, met with representatives of this country’s commercial banking sector on Wednesday 30th October, at the office of the Commissioner of Police, Police Administration Building, Port of Spain.
Eight AR 15 high powered rifles were discovered during an anti-crime exercise in the Four Roads district by officers of the Western Division on Thursday.
The exercise supervised by Snr Supt Aguilal, Supt Thompson and ASP Henry was executed by Sgts Forde-Jack and Brisbane and included officers of the Western Division Task Force (WDTF), Western Division Criminal Investigations Department (WD/CID), Special Branch, WD Crime Scene Unit and Canine Branch.
The TTPS is moving to enforce laws preventing animal cruelty in this country, and has pledged to work closely with animal welfare groups on the matter.
It comes following yesterday’s meeting of activists from the Animals Are Human Too organisation, with the police commissioner and officers from the Canine Unit and Mounted Branch.
A 14-year-old girl, who is believed to be a victim of human trafficking, was among 22 females detained at a ‘Secret Sunday’ pool party busted by officers of the Special Operations Response Team (SORT) after midnight on Sunday.
They were found in a house at Chancellor Heights, Upper Lady Chancellor Road, St Ann’s in Port-of-Spain.
